As part of the activities of the Eighth Session of UN-GGIM: Americas, two side events will be held:
- The first side event will be a webinar titled “The socio-economic benefits of geospatial information” (preliminary agenda attached) and will take place on November 9, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. Mexico time (UTC-6). As a requirement to participate in this side event, participants must complete a Self-paced e-learning module that will be available from October 15 to November 5, 2021 (see the e-learning details and registration link in the attached concept note).
- The second side event will be a workshop entitled "Empowering the Geospatial Professional for Successful Representation" whose objective is to strengthen the skills of geospatial experts to effectively represent and communicate their national statements and requirements in regional and global forums of UN-GGIM. The workshop will be held on November 11, 2021, 11 A.M. at 1 P.M. Mexico time (UTC-6). I will send you the agenda and registration link for this side event soon.
